Your lessons will be devoted to contemporary industry theories and practises, covering a wide variety of hospitality management topics, such as researching and designing package tours, content for guide books and leaflets, conflict resolution as well as booking, confirming, and negotiating with suppliers, among other topics. A part-time internship to match your career goal is also included in the programme, giving you a distinct edge.

Explore your options, outside of class

Studying abroad is not just for the book learning but also for the ability to experience other cultures and to learn the traditions and history. The activities coordinator at your school will always have a full schedule of events taking place each week which will give you the opportunity to explore your surroundings. Activities like sightseeing, sports, karaokie and student parties are some examples. They will also help you if you want to venture out on your own.

Pairing intensive French studies with a practice-based hospitality curriculum, the EF MFHT brings the opportunities of the international tourism industry into the classroom with a wide range of authentic materials and up-to-date case studies covering a challenging array of hospitality management topics. 14 general language lessons to build grammar and communication skills necessary for working in the international hotel & tourism industry, including teacherled discussions, presentations, written exercises, group work and role-plays.

10 lessons devoted to contemporary industry theories and practices, based on authentic materials used by renowned hotel and tourism schools. Prepare for your internship and if you desire prepare to take an internationally recognized language proficiency exam.

6 iLab sessions of interactive online learning, practicing all basic skills

1 lecture (double lesson) either by a teacher or guest lecturer for listening comprehension practice and cultural development.

1. 1. Who can apply to the MFHT program?

   EF’s MFHT is ideal for students who want to improve their French fluency and prepare for a career in the hotel and tourism industry.

2. Do students have to be at a particular level of French before starting the program?

   Due to the challenging nature of the course topics only students with intermediate French skills may apply. Students who begin at a lower French-level will first sharpen their French skills in intensive language training classes, before joining the Master French program.

3. What is the recommended age for participants?

   The program is recommended for students who are 18 - 30 years, mainly due to the fact that a certain maturity and experience is required in order to discuss the concepts and ideas.

4. Are there any prerequisites for this program?

   No. Anyone with a good command of French and with a keen interest in Hotel & Tourism will be able to profit from the program.

5. What credentials will I receive after completing my MFHT?

   Your MFHT diploma, combined with your internship certificate and your official exam results if you choose to take one, will ensure you are ready to advance in your career., EF MFHT students may be eligible to receive university credit for their coursework.

6. What is the application fee and what is it used for?

   There is a $45 application fee required for the Master French selection process. An additional $100 fee covers the normal administrative costs associated with enrolling in a long-term course abroad.
