EF Master Spanish Hotel and Ecotourism will prepare you for a career that encorporates the fundamentals of the travel industry and the awareness of how each step affects our environment and ways to prevent further damage. You will be perfecting your Spanish language skills, learning the terninology necessary to succeed in travel, and will learn the practical side of the tourist industry. An internship to enhance your knowledge
An internship allows you the opportunity to put what you are learning in the classroom to practice in a career setting where you can use not only your Spanish industry terminology but also your new skills. Your school has an Internship Coordinator that will help you find an internship that is suited to your interests and your goals. They will be available to assist you throughout your internship. Work experience is a must when applying for jobs as well as for further studies, so your internship will help your CV stand out.
Explore your options, outside of class
At EF we know that you are not studying abroad just for the classroom setting but also want to explore the city that you are living in. The Activities Coordinator at your school will help you to experience the culture, the history, and the fun activities that are available. A weekly schedule of activities is always up in the school with trips to famous monuments, galleries, and team sports as well as karaoke championships and student parties. You will also have time to venture out on your own and explore and if you have questions, the staff is always happy to help answer them.

Your MSHE diploma, combined with your internship certificate and your official exam results, will ensure you are ready to advance in your career. EF MSHE students may be eligible to receive university credit for their coursework. The credentials you gain will last a lifetime!

Description
Pairing intensive Spanish studies with a practice-based hospitality curriculum, the EF MSHE brings the opportunities of the international tourism industry into the classroom with a wide range of authentic materials and Harvard Business School Publishing’s case studies covering a challenging array of hospitality management topics. Also included is a part-time internship in a carefully chosen area to match your career goals.

14 general language lessons to build grammar and communication skills necessary for working in the international hotel & tourism industry, including teacherled discussions, presentations, written exercises, group work and role-plays.
10 lessons devoted to contemporary industry theories and practices, based on authentic materials used by renowned hotel and tourism schools. Prepare for your internship and if you desire prepare to take an internationally recognized language proficiency exam.
6 iLab sessions of interactive online learning, practicing all basic skills
1 lecture (double lesson) either by a teacher or guest lecturer for listening comprehension practice and cultural development.

Who can apply to the MSHE program?
EF’s MSHE is ideal for students who want to improve their Spanish fluency and prepare for a career in the hotel and tourism industry. -
Do students have to be at a particular level of Spanish before starting the program?
Due to the challenging nature of the course topics only students with intermediate Spanish skills may apply. Students who begin at a lower Spanish-level will first sharpen their Spanish skills in intensive language training classes, before joining the Master Spanish program. -
What is the recommended age for participants?
The program is recommended for students who are 18 - 30 years, mainly due to the fact that a certain maturity and experience is required in order to discuss the concepts and ideas. -
Are there any prerequisites for this program?
No. Anyone with a good command of Spanish and with a keen interest in Hotel & Tourism will be able to profit from the program. -
What credentials will I receive after completing my MSHE?
Your MSHE diploma, combined with your internship certificate and your official exam results if you choose to take one, will ensure you are ready to advance in your career. Moreover, through our partnership with Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU), EF MSHE students may be eligible to receive university credit for their coursework. -
What is the application fee and what is it used for?
There is a $45 application fee required for the Master Spanish selection process. An additional $100 fee covers the normal administrative costs associated with enrolling in a long-term course abroad.
