Present Perfect Tense: “have been to” vs “have gone to”

Peraturan:

Bentuk present perfect dari have gone to dan have been to biasanya digunakan untuk merujuk pada pergerakan ke lokasi lain.

Has /have gone to merujuk pada seseorang yang pergi ke suatu lokasi, tetapi belum kembali. Artinya dia masih berada di lokasi tersebut.

Has / have been to merujuk pada tempat yang pernah dikunjungi oleh seseorang pada suatu masa. Dengan kata lain, has been to merujuk pada suatu pengalaman wisata.

Contoh:

  1. He has gone to the bank. He should be back soon.
  2. He has been to London many times.
