Our Global Village in the Gold Coast grows in popularity with each passing year, thanks to expert Australian staff who are determined to show you the time of your life, from the first handshake hello at your welcome party to the last heartfelt hug goodbye at your farewell graduation ceremony and send-off. Our host families in Southport, Surfers Paradise, Runaway Bay, Pacific Pines, Biggera Waters, Chevron Island, Varsity Lakes, Mermaid Beach and Paradise Point are all first-rate. Most families live 10-15 minutes away from the beach. At EF Centre, your English teachers top up classroom learning with weekly cultural sessions—informative talks by guest speakers on current issues facing Australia, or visits to art galleries to view works by indigenous artists. When lessons are over for the day, the EF Activities Team kicks into high gear. The sporty will love the fact that we give you a chance to learn a different Australian sport each weak: cricket, rugby, netball and, of course, Australian Football. We also spend a fun-filled day at the beach together, as well as make a three-day trip to Australia's fabulous capital city—Sydney!
